Mediterranean Diet Snacks for Outdoor Adventures Designed by Stella Woods

Stella Woods swears on the Mediterranean diet for its fresh, whole tastes and energy-boosting components when it comes to outdoor adventures. Stella, a seasoned hiker and foodies, lists her go-to easy-made, nutritious snacks ideal for the route.

Stella says, “My concept is simple: you should feed your body real food that’s both delicious and nouraging. Mediterranean snacks are also quite flexible; you can enjoy them anywhere!

First snack is olive and nut mix. Stella likes this delicious combination of walnuts, roasted almonds, and kalamata olives. Full of good fats and a little sea salt, it gives you sustained energy.

Stella says, “I always carry a little jar of this combination. “The olives bring a taste explosion, and the nuts keep me full for several hours.”

Second snack will be hummus and vegetable wraps. Stella uses whole-grain tortillas to spread hummus and toss crunchy vegetables including bell peppers, cucumbers, and spinach. For a simple to-carry snack, she firmly coils them.

“The key is wrapping them well so they don’t unravel during your hike,” she says. “They are like small pockets of virtue!!”

Third snack is dried fig and dark chocolate bitings. Stella blends dried figs with dark chocolate squares for a little sweetness.

Stella adds, “It feels luxurious but is still healthy.” “Plus, figs’ natural sugars provide a rapid energy boost free from crash effect.”

Stella has been driven on innumerable excursions by these Mediterranean-inspired munchies. Try one (or all!) of them next time you walk on the path to sample the Mediterranean on-demand.
