Core-strengthening yoga poses for inner power developed by Natalia Vodianova

Russian supermodel and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova swears by yoga to keep her core strong and head focused.

“Yoga is my refuge; it’s where I find strength and balance,” Natalia adds. She has evolved over the years into a regimen of preferred poses that increase core power and foster awareness.


She cites the plank stance for toning her whole core and is one of her regular workouts. “Although holding a plank works every muscle in your core, it looks easy.” she says. Thirty seconds to a minute of holding it helps increase stability and endurance.

Natalia also enjoys the boat pose, a difficult yet powerful stance for strengthening balance and training the lower abs. “I get it straight immediately in my gut. Though difficult, the outcomes are well worth it, she says.


Another popular are twisting poses similar as the seated spinal twist. These not only improve the obliques but also induce digestion, so helping to detoxify the body. After a thorough twist, Natalia says, “I feel so refreshed; it’s like I’m wringing out all the tension.”

Yoga for her is not only physical. This method links body and mind. “Yoga grounds me even during the busiest periods in my life,” she explains. Natalia keeps inner peace and physical strength by including her preferred core-strengthening positions.
