Healthconscious mother of two Mia Young thinks eating clean doesn’t have to be difficult. She is also busy.
She smiles and explains, “It’s about making little changes that add up to major results.” Her finest advice for eating well and feeling your best is here.
First give Whole Foods first priority.
“Look at whole, minimally processed foods,” Mia counsels. Mostly your meals should consist of fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and nutritious grains. “I always say, think twice before eating it, if it doesn’t come from the earth or isn’t easily recognizable!”
2. Cook Right Here at Home
Mia promises her home cooking is great. One does not have to be a cook. Simple but great dishes are brown rice, roasted vegetables, and grilled chicken. Making meals at home lets you control the ingredients and steer clear of sneaky sweeteners and bad additives.
3. Wise Hydration
She stresses, “don’t undervalue the power of water.” Mia gets a glass of lemon water first thing in the morning and keeps a reusable bottle close to keep hydrated. “It’s an easy way to increase your energy and cut pointless snacking.”
4. Steer clear of extra sweets.
Reducing additional sugars is among Mia’s best advise. “Pay close attention to labels,” she advises “You’ll be shocked how much sugar is hiding in regular products like yogurt or salad dressing.”
5. Get Ahead in Planning
Maintaining control requires consistent meal prep. “Every Sunday, I figure out my weekly meals,” Mia says. This cuts the temptation to grab bad takeaway in addition to saving time.
