Last year, 29-year-old fitness fan Lena Clark started a no-sugar diet and hasn’t looked back. “Cutting out sugar was not easy at first,” Lena says. “But now, I feel more energy and my desires are entirely under control!”
First begin with awareness.
Lena says starting with food label reading. “Sugar is hidden everywhere—bread, sauces, even so-called ‘healthy,’ snacks,” she cautions. “It’s easier to avoid once you know where it lurks.”

Lena admits she is a dessert person. I had to start being inventive. Her preferred snacks are frozen banana slices coated in dark chocolate and chia pudding enhanced with a little vanilla essence.
Get ready for obstacles.
Social events can be difficult, Lena admits. “I will consume a no-sugar snack, like a handful of nuts, before a party. That helps me not to be hungry when the desserts arrive.
Her last advice was Should you fall, avoid berating yourself. Pay more attention to your development than to perfection.
