Especially for women with hectic schedules, finding time to work out can be difficult. Though she is a busy professional herself, Isabella has created a basic exercise schedule that works any hectic day.
“You don’t have hours at the gym to keep fit,” she advises. “I have discovered that the right exercises can work miracles even for twenty minutes.”
Stretch and Strength in the morning
Isabella stretches fast first thing in the morning. “It wakes up my muscles and provides a modest energy boost before the day starts,” she says.
She stretches then immediately starts a 10-minute strength program concentrating on bodyweight exercises like squats, lunges, and push-ups. “These workouts strike several muscle groups, so you get more done in less time.”
Squeeze during Cardio Anytime
Isabella allows flexibility in her cardio. “Sometimes I’ll do jumping jacks in my living room or a quick walk during my lunch break,” she says. She exhorts working women to use fast bursts of movement during brief breaks throughout the day. “Everything that makes your heart skip a beat counts,” she says.
Finish with a Relaxing Cool Down.
Isabella winds down at the end of the day with a calm cool-down practice concentrating on yoga poses including cat-cow stretches and child’s pose. “It’s a terrific way to de-stress and stretch out any tightness from sitting all day,” she says.
Her counsel to other time-pressed women “Keep things basic; avoid pushing yourself to do too much. Little daily movement is better than none at all.
