Carmen King, a fitness enthusiast who advocates for little, regular behaviors, says being fit doesn’t have to be difficult. “It’s not about major transformations,” Carmen says. “It’s about daily small decisions that compound to produce significant outcomes.”

Beginning her morning ritual, Carmen swears: “I drink a glass of water first thing when I wake up. It maintains my hydration and starts my metabolism.

Remain Active in Basic Form: Stay Simple

Carmen points out, “Exercise doesn’t always mean visiting a gym.” She walks, does yoga, or even dances about her living room to include movement into her daily schedule.

Carmen enjoys meal planning.  She makes wise choices. “I’m less prone to grab junk food if I have healthy snacks and meals ready,” she says. Her preferred snack is this one. Apple slices topped with almond butter.

Give sleep top priority; Carmen notes, “sleep is non-negotiable.” Emphasizing that rest is vital for both physical and emotional health, she plans seven to eight hours every night.

Carmen’s key to success is her mindset: “Pay attention to development rather than perfection. Celebrate little accomplishments since they will sustain you.
