Passionate Pilates trainer Kara Lee credits a committed Pilates program for her trim, toned body.
Pilates is Kara’s main form of exercise since it is well-known for helping with balance, core strength, and flexibility. Kara explains, “Pilates transforms your mind too, not only your body,” which helps to understand why she enjoys this exercise.
Movements with a Core Focus Kara’s initial section of practice is on building the core. Her preferred exercises include classic motions including leg lifts and the “Hundred”.
Your core, she says, is your powerhouse. These workouts help to create a solid basis for the whole body in addition to strengthening abs.
Moderate Flow for Posture and Flexibility Kara looks long and elegant because Pilates emphasizes posture. She uses motions like the “Single Leg Stretch” and “Swan Dive” to keep graceful posture and increase range of motion.
Breathwork and Mindfulness: Breathwork is also included into Kara’s Pilates regimen; she thinks this is crucial to fully enjoy her exercise.
“Pilates coached me in conscious breathing,” she says. She can concentrate and let stress go by linking every activity with her breath.
