Family dinners are a delight and Mediterranean tastes thrive in Ariana West’s kitchen. “The Mediterranean diet is all about balance, fresh ingredients, and sharing meals,” she says.
Breakfast: A Taste of the Mediterranean
Greek yoghurt smeared with honey first thing Ariana eats, topped with walnuts and fresh figs. She notes, “It’s quick, nutritious, and feels like a treat.” She also enjoys preparing olive oil toast topped with tomatoes and a little sea salt.
Lunch will be light but pleasing.
Cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, and a lemon-olive oil dressing make up Ariana’s beloved Greek salad lunch. She advises a chickpea and spinach stew presented with whole-grain bread as a heartier choice.
Dinner tonight is a family affair.
Dinner allows Ariana to gather the family. Her favourite dishes are roasted veggies accompanied by baked fish with herbs and lemon. “It feels unique but is simple enough for weeknights.” She says. She also enjoys making olive oil, garlic, cherry tomato pasta in Mediterranean fashion using fresh basil.
Desserts and snacks
Roasted almonds, hummus with carrot sticks, and whole-grain crackers are among Ariana’s snack suggestions. She chooses a fresh fruit or a tiny bit of dark chocolate for dessert.
Why Everybody Should Use the Mediterranean Diet?
“The Mediterranean diet isn’t limited; it’s about enjoying food mindfully,” Ariana notes. She advocates family cooking using seasonal foods.
