Nyah Blake’s Clean Eating for Type 2 Diabetes

Her doctor mentioned clean eating, but the definition felt vague. So Nyah created her own version—one built around balance, whole foods, and blood sugar awareness.

She didn’t cut carbs completely, but she became choosy about them. “It wasn’t about no rice—it was about having the right kind of rice, in the right amount, with protein and fiber alongside it.”

Her A1C began to improve within months. She lost weight gradually, had more energy, and no longer felt the dreaded blood sugar crashes in the afternoons.

Today, clean eating is simply her way of life. “It’s not about being perfect,” she says. “It’s about making one good decision at a time—and letting that be enough.”
